Twitter vs Facebook Breakdown

The following is a social networking user demographic breakdown. It's all interesting to look over, but there are a couple of things I found particularly surprising.
- While twitter only has 1/5th of the total users that Facebook has, both websites have a higher percentage of women using them.
- Facebook has been around for much longer than twitter so it enjoys a broader range of age groups and education levels. This also could be due to the fact that Facebook started on a university campus (see the movie "The Social Network")
- Both Facebook and Twitter will influence the purchases of products if the user "follows" or "likes" a particular brand. Underlining the importance for companies to keep their social networking pages exciting.
