New Rule!

At FLIPP, we communicate with each other using iChat quite a bit. Even though our office is small, we often have multiple online conversations going on with one another. Maybe about the song that's playing, what we did on the weekend, projects we're working on, or latest client feedback. Some of us literally sit a few feet away from one another, yet we default to using our iChat window instead of our voices. It could be argued as a useful/productive tool, or it could also be viewed as a distraction that results in less and less actual interaction.
Well, starting this Friday, we are beginning a social experiment and implementing 'NO iCHAT FRIDAY'S'. This means physically getting out of our chairs, using our voices and looking each other in the eye. For one day a week, we are opting for 'less technology and more humanity' (to quote the great Robin Sharma).
Do you think this will make us more productive or less productive? Stay tuned, we'll let you know how it goes.
