Am I really cheering for the Sharks?

In this years NHL playoffs I'm cheering for the San Jose Sharks. Before that I was cheering for Nashville and before that I was forced (but hated every minute of it) to cheer for Chicago.

Anyone else following this trend?

Any other Flames fans (or even Oilers fans) out there tired of hearing someone say they don't like the Canucks but that they are cheering for them because they want 'Canada' to win the cup? News flash, the cup is not shared by the country and it definitely would not be shared by Vancouver with Calgary or Edmonton.

Here's a thought I'll leave you with for the weekend. I would suggest that if you consider yourself a Flames fan and you find yourself cheering for the Canucks; You have to ask yourself if you're really a Flames fan or if you just dress up like one.

Discuss.

Blog Disclaimer: I have nothing against Vancouver, or Edmonton for that matter. I have friends and family from both. I would just never cheer for either of their hockey teams. It's this loyalty to our teams that all of us share. Of course we can all sit around over a few pints and enjoy the game, we just cheer for different teams and that's how it should be. As Cherry would say "It's the Code."
