We made this

Tell the world and just do it.

Tell the world and just do it.

The most powerful way to push yourself to do anything is to tell the world you're going to do it.

We're 5 months into the year and many people are hoping that their New Year's Resolutions have long been forgotten by those they told so they won't have to live up to them.

At FLIPP there is no forgetting. Last year Emily organized company resolutions, all of which were contributed evenly by the entire team. Things from "Keep the server clean!" to "Let's get get out for beers as a group more often" were thrown into the hat. Everything was tracked and in our first Monday morning meeting in the new year we reviewed our progress. This year Emily up'd the anti and asked for a personal resolution from everyone at FLIPP. Those resolutions are printed out and posted upstairs in the games area (by the fridge) for daily reminders.

Instead of just going ahead and posting everyone's resolution from FLIPP, I'll just ask that everyone from the office post a comment with the details of their promise and how they are doing.

The reason I started writing this in the first place was that it's closing in on the end of the day and I had absolutely no idea what I was going to write about. This challenge to myself to post a blog for every day in the month of May is the only reason I'm writing this now. The fact that I broadcast to the entire office that I could do this and the threat of humiliation if I miss a post is what keeps me going.

So I suggest if you're looking for a little added motivation to accomplish anything from cleaning up your back yard to losing 30 pounds...Tell the world. Tweet it, blog it and tell your friends to RT it.

Anyone out there struggling with a New Years Resolution? Or looking to climb mount Kilimanjaro? Tell me about it here and we'll be sure to tell the world.
