Not just a pretty face

For many, a website is only as good as it looks, and by that measure the websites we build aren't slouches.
But what few notice or appreciate is the coding behind the scenes that make the visuals possible. Things like user experience, accessibility, search engine optimization, and alternate style sheets for printing are all things that we make sure are included in the sites that we build.
Here at FLIPP we like to think we are ahead of the curve, but not the bleeding edge on most standards. Some of these standards are only supported on a handful of browsers while some completely ignore them. We have been incorporating some of the more solidified HTML5 & CSS3 elements into our sites, but we also make sure they are backward compatible with older browsers (excluding IE6 - COMON people)
There are tests out there that validate your code to make it up to par with coding best practices and standards. As a matter of fact, FLIPP's own corporate website has been the #1 rated site on nibbler's top 67,664 rated sites for the past couple of weeks.
Not to toot our own horn (okay, maybe a bit) but you may see many of the sites developed by FLIPP in the following "best website" lists. While these sites mainly focus on visuals, they are also created by industry leaders and therefore they take a lot of the things I'm talking about into consideration:
What do you think of the newly built FLIPP website? Let us know. And don't be afraid to view the source and admire all the pretty code.
