Team building at 120KM/hour

Part blog post. Part client plug.
This summer our team at FLIPP will be heading back to Allen Berg Racing Schools for a day on the kart track. Our first track visit was this time last year. Following that, FLIPP organized and took part in the Diabetes fund raiser Karts for the Cure. It would seem we're hooked.
If you've never been karting I'd highly recommend it.
You might have a vision in your head of kiddy/bumper karts well, think again. We'll be suited up in full racing suits and helmets in professional open wheeled machines that hit top speeds of 120-130Km. As a result of the power of these karts, the day is quite structured and every safety precaution taken to ensure everyone is comfortable zipping around the track. Allen and his team do a great job at making everyone feel comfortable no matter their skill level.
Some photography from our last day of karting was actually used in the FLIPP design of the Allen Berg Racing School website. The second slide on the cover page is our Interactive Director, Dan Rigby, and front and center in the karting section is our very own Emily McCann.
For those looking for a little more of a challenge, the core offering at ABRS are the formula cars that run on the main track at Race City Speedway. These Tatuus Renault Formula 1600s are as close as any of us will ever get to understanding the adrenalin rush of professional racing. Last summer I had the opportunity to spend the day ripping around the track in #17 . Words can not describe the rush of finding your line through the track at top speeds.
The reason you need to put this on your list of things to do this summer is that this will be the last season in Calgary for Allen Berg Racing Schools. Allen and his team will then be operating exclusively out of Thunderhill Raceway Park in San Francisco.
So get out there while the world class instruction of Allen Berg is here in our own backyard. For costs and schedules visit the very well designed www.allenbergracingschools.com
